Problem Statment

Neck pain is one of the most common musculoskeletal disorders worldwide, with a reported 12-month prevalence ranging from 42% to 67% among young adults aged 18-29 years.

Neck pain is the second leading cause of years lived with disability (YLD).
According to the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) data, neck pain is increasing, with a 21% increase in the prevalence of pain lasting more than 3 months between 2006 and 2016.
Neck pain is associated with disability and reduced quality of life, and neck pain has been shown to be a risk factor for reduced daily productivity. Neck pain has a significant impact on the economic development of individuals and societies, including health care costs, insurance costs, Associated costs such as lost productivity and sick leave.

I made a questionnaire and invited 100 people to talk about their neck health issues.

Insights

Extremely large groups of people have Neck health issues. However, people did not find the best solution to the issues.  They think using the VR technique might be a possible solution to the neck health issue.

How Might We

“How do we allow users to relieve shoulder and neck pain easily and effectively”

Using specially designed tutorials and timely guidance, users are taught how to perform shoulder and neck exercises correctly to prevent injury and effectively relieve shoulder and neck pain.

Educate and guidance

Introduce gamification elements, such as time reminders, music relaxation, achievement unlocking, etc., to increase user engagement and motivation for continued use.

The game's interface and controls should be intuitive and easy to use so that users can perform shoulder and neck movements with ease.

Players have to go through the opening animation and path through 3 levels of VR games to stretch their necks.

Game Logic

During Level2&3, players should cooperate with
their arms, using controllers to open the door
which hides the crystals.

During games, players should move their heads in directions and look for crystals around the area. Focus on different crystals until they disappear.
Then Players get the energy from crystals!
